In North London, girls from a small Muslim school which doesn't have enough playground space are able to play in the adjacent Jewish school. It's an example of the good neighbourliness that doesn't always make the headlines, according to Commander Mak Chishty of the Metropolitan Police.
England's most senior Muslim police officer will be one of the speakers at an interfaith event due to take place at the Regents Park Mosque in London on Sunday afternoon in response to the recent terror attacks in Europe. The "We Stand Together" event, he said, intends to show that "any attempt to perpetrate hatred and divide people is futile".
