A string of antisemitic attacks in North London has left the community on high alert as the Met Police appeal for information about the perpetrators.

Last Thursday, a Jewish woman was assaulted near Seven Sisters Underground Station in Tottenham, North London.

According to the Met police: "Officers were called at around 3.45pm on Thursday, July 28 to reports of a woman assaulted by another woman close to Seven Sisters Underground station.

"Due to comments made during the assault, this is being treated as a hate crime.

“No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and inquiries continue into the circumstances.”

Community security group Shomrim posted footage of the incident on social media, appealing for information. The footage shows a woman chasing a mother and child while appearing to brandish a stick.

Just one day later, the group also called attention to several other incidents, including a woman shouting "F*** you Jews, I will kill you" at congregants leaving synagogue on Friday night.

Earlier this year, the Community Security Trust reported that 2021 was a record year for antisemitic hate crimes in the UK with the total level of antisemitic incidents rising by 34 per cent to 2,255 for the year.

According to the Met police, anyone with information about the attack near Seven Sisters Tube station should call 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting CAD reference number 4820 of July 28.
