Comedian and Little Britain star Matt Lucas will replace Sandi Toksvig as co-host of the Great British Bake Off.

Mr Lucas will join co-host Noel Fielding, as well as judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, for the 11^th series, which airs this summer.

“I’m chuffed to bits to be joining the most delicious show on television,” Lucas said.

“I can't wait to break bread with Noel, Prue and Paul and meet the brilliant bakers.”
