Martin Bright to join the JC

Martin Bright will be the JC's new political editor

The Jewish Chronicle is delighted to announce the appointment of Martin Bright as political editor.

JC editor Stephen Pollard said: "I am thrilled that Martin is joining us. He will be a heavyweight addition to our superb team, providing unmissable political analysis and news stories."

Mr Bright is a former political editor of the New Statesman and home affairs editor of the Observer. He will take up his post on 14th September.

In addition, Miriam Shaviv has been appointed Foreign Editor and Gerald Jacobs Comment Editor, both with immediate effect.
