Around 2,000 pro-Israel activists are set to show their support at a national rally on Sunday.
The “Say No To Terror: Say Yes To Peace” rally, organised by North West Friends of Israel (NWFOI), will take place at 2pm at the Palace Theatre in south Manchester, which organisers expect to fill.
NWFOI co-chair Anthony Dennison said that once the location of the venue was released on Friday, bookings for the event “came through thick and fast” despite it clashing with a Manchester United match.
The event, originally named “Say No To Terror: Stand With Israel,” was due to take place on January 31 until the Sheridan Suite pulled out following what NWFOI said was “gross intimidation” from “the antisemitic boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement.”
