A father whose son was accused of a mugging told the alleged victim to drop the charges or he would “kill him”, a court heard.
Mark Izraelov, 50, is said to have threatened Samuel Brown after Mr Brown accused Yacov Izraelov, 20, of stealing his mobile phone and coat.
Both Mark and Yacov Izraelov were in court on Monday to face charges relating to the alleged mugging on September 20, 2014.
Prosecuting lawyer Iestyn Morgan told the jury at Wood Green Crown Court: “Samuel Brown says he was on Finchley Road when he saw two males approach him. He recognised Yakov Izraelov, who punched him in the neck.”
The pair allegedly took Mr Brown’s phone and coat. Yacov Izraelov was arrested later that day and charged with robbery.
The jury heard how on January 11 this year Mark Izraelov confronted Mr Brown in Sami’s kosher restaurant in Edgware, north-west London.
Mr Morgan told the court: “He said, ‘you put my son in jail... I am going to f**k you’.”
According to the prosecution, Mark Izraelov told Mr Brown to drop the charges and said: “‘If you don’t, you are dead’.”
Mark Izraelov also made a telephone call to a friend of Mr Brown, allegedly telling him to tell Mr Brown to drop the mugging accusation or he would “f**k his friend up”.
Yacov Izraelov also called the friend to tell Mr Brown to drop the accusation.
Mark Izraelov of Finchley denies charges of initimidation and perverting the course of justice.
Yacov Izraelov, of Finchley, north-west London, denies robbery and perverting the course of justice.
A third defendant Edvin Banda, 22, of Kingsbury, north-west London also pleaded not guilty to robbery.
