Madonna advertises for chef 'with knowledge of kosher cooking'

The job advertisement specifies that although the kitchen itself isn't kosher, ' you must be familiar with all the basic rules'

Are you an experienced chef with a good knowledge of Kashrut?

If so, Madonna might have a job for you.

The world-famous singer is reportedly advertising for a “Top Chef with existing private household experience required… to be suitable for this role, you must have knowledge of Kosher cooking.”

The advert on the “Talent Private Staff” website specified that the position was working for “a VVIP client in Mayfair”, with the Sun identifying the VVIP as Madonna.

The locations tab for the job listing mentioned “London, Lisbon, NYC”, and the pop star is reported to divide her time between the three cities.

She is not Jewish, but her interest in Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism is well known.

According to the job listing, which offered a salary of between £85,000 - £110,000, “the principal does not run a kosher kitchen (separate equipment for meat/dairy etc) but you must be familiar with all the basic rules (no dairy and meat served together, no pork, fish must have fins and scales – no swordfish, shellfish etc.”

The job listing has since been removed from the website, so it is unclear if the star has hired someone or whether the advert was pulled after the original story. Either way, we hope that the chicken soup is of a sufficiently high standard.
