Lord Winston is to be the keynote speaker at the first ever conference for teachers of GCSE religious studies Judaism.

Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis will also address the one-day conference in central London next month. Workshops and presentations by chief examiners from the main exam boards will address areas of the new syllabus which will first be examined in 2018.

The conference will also feature resources and information from Jewish charities and the Board of Deputies Jewish Living Experience (JLE), an exhibition of Jewish life in the 21st century.

The event is run jointly by Board of Deputies and Partnerships for Jewish Schools.
