Former radio producer Liza Hunter has joined forces with a group of music teachers to set up a rock school. The group, The Harrow Band Workshop, will run a series of workshops aimed at people aged over 14 and teach them how to play in a band.
Mrs Hunter, 38, will be launching the initiative with musician and guitar teacher Chris Lofthouse, who has played alongside British rock bands Queen and Led Zeppelin, and Leo Marks, who has supported Damien Rice and The Kaiser Chiefs, plus a selection of other teachers. She tells People: "We wanted to teach people the basics and give them the confidence to do gigs and experience things that actual musicians experience." The evening workshops, which will start in June and take place at the Harrow Arts Centre in London, and are affiliated to The Mayor of London's Rhythm of London Campaign.
