Israeli politicians Tzipi Livni and Naftali Bennett confronted each other during a debate over the Golan Heights.
He pointed out that the Zionist Camp – the centre-left alliance between Hatnua and the Israeli Labour party - had announced that it was opposed to withdrawal from the Golan – despite Livni, the head of Hatnua, arguing in 2008 that concessions would have to be made in a peace deal.
In a video posted online on Sunday, Mr Bennett, the leader of the Jewish Home, commended Ms Livni for “wisening up” over the Golan Heights.
He added: “I invite you to join the Jewish Home way. Thank you, Tzipi.
“I just hope that in 10 years, [when] you’ll wisen up about giving up the West Bank to the Arabs, you’ll come and say ‘I made a mistake,’ and I will accept your apology.”
Ms Livni then returned to the stage to confront him.
She said: “I have no problem debating ideology, I have a problem with liars in politics. You’ve not heard a different view from me on the Golan Heights.”
She then stormed off stage.
