International Trade Minister Liam Fox has flown to Tel Aviv to meet with Benjamin Netanyahu, as part of a trip to boost trade between the two countries after Brexit.
Dr Fox arrived on Monday evening and is to meet "major Israeli investors and fast-growing tech companies", as well as the prime minister, the International Trade Department said.
He will be in Israel for "several days" as he discusses a new deal to replace the EU-Israel Association Agreement, to which Britain has been party as a member of the EU.
The Departmenr said it was "seeking to replicate existing EU free trade agreements and other EU preferential arrangements to ensure the UK’s trade relationships with over 70 countries continues".
