London solicitor Lewis Cohen has been named one of the best in the country.
Mr Cohen was featured in The Lawyer magazine’s ‘Hot 100’ list, which highlights talent in the legal profession and features lawyers who have made a significant impact over the past year.
Thirty-five-year-old Mr Cohen, a partner at Field Fisher Waterhouse (FFW), was recognised for his work with his high-profile client Tottenham Hotspur. He had been advising on the Premiership club’s crackdown on counterfeit goods being sold over the web. To date, the firm has stopped over 1,000 eBay auctions.
“I guess the achievement is that there are so many thousands of lawyers and they picked me,” Mr Cohen tells People. “I am delighted — and somewhat surprised. It’s not the kind of thing that you would ever expect happening.”
A specialist in commercial intellectual property, he completed his law degree at the University of Leeds. He joined FFW in 2007. Home is in Finchley, North London.
