A book exploring the connection between Leeds United and the city's Jews has been named Football Book of the Year.
The Promised Land: The Reinvention of Leeds United, by Mirror sportswriter and Leeds fan Anthony Clavane was honoured at the British Sports Book Awards.
He said: "The book weaves together many different strands; Leeds United, Leeds Jews, the story of the city and my personal story growing up."
He was presented with his award by Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock.
Born locally, former history teacher Mr Clavane is currently working on a new book on a history of Jews in English football.
