Few lawyers have had a public spotlight on their work to the same degree as Liz Dux has in the past three years.
Since acting for hundreds of Jimmy Savile's victims in 2012, Ms Dux, the daughter of a refugee from the Nazis, has become the go-to specialist for the victims of high-profile sex abusers.
A partner at London firm Slater and Gordon, she has won cases against the BBC, NHS, charities and churches.
She said this week she had been contacted by several victims from the Jewish community who were frightened to report abuse.
"I encouraged all of them to go to the police but none have done so.
"This is something bubbling under in the Jewish community and the community needs to speak out about it."
Ms Dux was educated in Hampton, south-west London, and studied law at Brunel University.
She has said that the most influential person in her life was her mother. Margot Norton escaped from Nazi Germany as a child and came to Britain, where she became a pioneering doctor.
Ms Dux said she had been a "wonderful role model" who had shown her how to balance family life with a rewarding career.
