American actor Kevin Spacey made a surprise visit to Israel on Friday, touring towns near the Gaza border that were heavily impacted by Hamas’ October 7 massacre.
According to Ynet, the troubled actor, 65, was accompanied by British author and pro-Israel journalist Douglas Murray.
The actor spent time in southern Israel, offering support to the local communities affected by the ongoing conflict.
One of the key moments of his visit was a surprise meeting with Ayala Levinstein, a lone soldier from the US serving in a combat intelligence unit in Israel.
Spacey, a close friend of Levinstein's father, surprised the solider before touring the site of the Nova Music Festival, one of the many locations where Hamas massacred civilians on October 7.
On Sunday, Spacey and Murray toured other sites affected by the October 7 attacks, including Kibbutz Kfar Aza, one of the hardest-hit communities in southern Israel.
The kibbutz was attacked by more than 70 Hamas operatives, resulting in dozens of deaths and 19 hostages taken.
His visit is scheduled to conclude on Monday evening.
Despite past legal controversies, including being acquitted of sexual assault charges, Spacey still faces a civil lawsuit in the UK over an alleged 2008 assault at his home in London.
