Ten-year-old Katyann Harris from Cheshire has completed a 200km bike ride, raising more than £15,000 for Treloar College in South London, a school for young people with disabilities.
Katyann, a pupil at North Cheshire Jewish Primary School, decided she wanted to do something to raise money for Treloar, which her cousin Stephanie attends.
She planned, trained for and carried out the bike ride together with her father, Michael, a solicitor at Addleshaw Goddard. The duo, who enjoy cycling and ride through Tatton Park on a regular basis, cycled from Altrincham in Cheshire, through Snowdonia, to Abersoch in North Wales. Katyann tells People: “I enjoyed it a lot. It was extremely hard but we got through it with fudge. At the start of the second day, we did a two-mile climb straight-up. That was probably the hardest part.”
Katyann lives with her parents, Kerith and Michael, and her younger sister, Rosie.
