Katherine Jenkins’ song for Chanucah

Katherine Jenkins has released a Chanucah album to mark the first year in which she will celebrate the festival as the wife of Jewish artist Andrew Levitas.

The Welsh soprano co-wrote 8 Nights of Joy with her American husband and producer Patrick Hamilton. The song, which is available on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon, features the lyrics: “Happy Chanucah/Come us let all unite in candlelight.”

The 34-year-old, who married Mr Levitas in September, told guests at a Jewish Care Holocaust Survivors' Centre fundraiser in central London in March that she was looking forward to celebrating more Jewish festivals with her partner.

She said: “I have been dating a lovely Jewish boy from New York. I’m going to my first Passover next month – and I’m prepared to ask the four questions.”
