Veteran cookery writer Judy Jackson is becoming an online hit.
The grandmother-of-twelve, and author of seven cookbooks, has started blogging about books, art, travel and of course, food. The blog, called The Armchair Kitchen, has become particularly popular with 20-somethings across the world.
Mrs Jackson, who is in her 70s, tells People: "About a year ago, one of my grandsons suggested I start a blog. But I wasn't sure if I had enough to say about food to post something everyday but then realised I have a lot of other stuff to write about. It features whatever interests me really." She posts information and pictures on anything from netsukes –- small Japanese ornaments - to D H Lawrence, to chicken in marsala sauce. The blog is updated daily, except on Shabbat and there are links to a wide range of recipes.
