Steven Woolf, the chair of governors at JFS, has stepped down from his role after less than two years at the school, it has been announced.
In a letter sent to all parents, the school said there had been a number of changes among the board of governors, including Mr Woolf, who “has taken the decision to resign his chairmanship due in large part to the considerable time commitment required when holding this responsible position.
“In order to allow for a smooth transition over the summer and into the new academic year, Steven, together with fellow governors and the school, thought it preferable that his resignation would be with immediate effect.”
The letter explained that, until the school’s full governing body convenes in September, Arnold Wagner, a former chair of governors at JFS, will take the reins from Mr Woolf. Mr Wagner oversaw the school for 10 years, including its relocation from Camden to Kenton.
Stuart Waldman will continue as vice-chair of governors at the school.
JFS has experienced a number of changes in recent months, including the departure of its headteacher, Jonathan Miller.
