Jewish communities across the globe are commemorating the 74th anniversary of Kristallnacht.

Kristallnacht, or the Night of Broken Glass, remembers the pogrom attack of Jewish-owned businesses and synagogues in Germany and Austria on November 9-10 1938.

Ninety-one Jews were killed and 30,000 people were marched to concentration camps along the streets covered in broken glass.

A special Kristallnacht service was held at Jewish Care’s Holocaust Survivors Centre in Hendon yesterday afternoon.
