Naomi Greenaway has made the 2024 PPA shortlist for columnist of the year for her JC2 column, Schleps and the City: Busy Mum, London Life.
When she began the column at the end of 2022, Greenaway wanted it to "be as relatable as possible for readers.
"I think as Jewish mums we are often under a lot of pressure - we want to fulfil the role of perfect Jewish mum while also often having high expectations of ourselves in our careers. I set out to tap into those experiences, in certain instances to question them, but to always approach them with warmth, understanding and humour."
Greenaway, deputy head of long reads and magazine at The Telegraph, said that the volume of personal messages and emails she received in response to the column in the wake of October 7 had been overwhelming and humbling.
"I am grateful to have been in the unique position to have connected with Jewish women at the toughest of times," she said.
The PPA awards ceremony will take place on June 26
