A 30-strong delegation of Israeli companies will travel to London next month in a bid to build closer commercial ties with the UK.

Israeli start-up companies, specialising in water and retail technology, will meet British counterparts at a four-day event orchestrated by the British embassy, Israel Embassy in London's trade and economic department and UK Trade & Investment.

Yoni Nevo, the chief executive of Cimagine, which provides mobile platforms and solutions for retail companies, said the UK was a “key market” for his company.

“We hope to forge new ties and explore new projects by being part of this delegation,” he said.

British Ambassador Matthew Gould said: "These are companies that will take with them some of the best of Israeli innovation. They will meet British companies with worldwide reputations and worldwide reach, which can help their innovation go global.”
