US President Donald Trump has reinforced a position hinted at last Friday that he opposes rampant settlement construction in the West Bank.
Mr Trump told Israel Hayom he thought reaching a peace deal was possible, but called on Israel "to act reasonably".
The Israeli newspaper published the interview with Mr Trump a day after its casino mogul owner, Sheldon Adelson, met the US President for dinner at the White House.
Mr Adelson donated $20 million to Trump's presidential campaign.
