A newly released photograph of Naama Levy in captivity soon after she was taken hostage shows a swollen bruise on her eye

New images of five young female hostages being held in Gaza have been released by their families.

The photos show Agam Berger, Daniella Gilboa, Liri Albag, Naama Levy, and Karina Ariev bruised and bandaged in a Gaza bedroom.

In one image, four of the women are sitting on bedding. In another, Naama Levy, 20, has a swollen purple bruise on her eye.

The images were taken during the first days of the women’s captivity in Gaza and were released on Tuesday by the Hostages Families Forum.

Parents of the female hostages have demanded an immediate meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before he addresses US lawmakers at Congress on July 24.

The Hostages Families Forum said: "Over nine months have passed since these photos were taken, showing Agam Berger, Daniella Gilboa, Liri Albag, Naama Levy, and Karina Ariev during their first days in Hamas captivity in Gaza.

“The courageous decision by the parents to reveal these photos aims to bring them closer to embracing their daughters. This reunion is just a deal away, a deal that would bring all 120 hostages home - the living for rehabilitation and the murdered and fallen for proper burial.

“We demand that the Israeli government, and particularly its leader, look these girls in the eyes, try to imagine what they and all the hostages have endured for 284 days, and do everything possible to bring them home."

The release of the images comes after nine months have passed since the women were abducted – and as evidence has mounted of the sexual assault committed by Hamas, fears have spread that the women could have fallen pregnant in captivity.

In May, distressing footage was released of the five young women – who were female soldiers in the IDF – being kidnapped from a military base in Nahal Oz.

Daniella Gilboa, Liri Albag, Karina Ariev, Agam Berger and Na’ama Levy could be seen crouched against a wall with bloodied faces and terrified expressions, surrounded by Hamas terrorists and dead bodies.
