Hard workers: some of the guards who volunteered

A leading Polish security company has offered to fly its top 100 bodyguards to Israel following the recent wave of terror attacks.

Beniamin Krasicki, owner of City Security, made the offer in a letter to Israel's Minister of Public Security, Gilad Erdan.

"It is with complete horror that we have been viewing the heinous attacks on innocent Israelis over the past few weeks in Israel. Here in Poland, we have unfortunately seen too many attacks against Jews in our history, as we saw in the Holocaust," he wrote.

"We would like to offer our services to you on an entirely voluntary level. We can no longer sit aside and watch these attacks take place without doing something."

He told the JC: "We asked all our 5,000 security guards if they would be interested in going to Israel. One hundred responded positively, and many others showed interest. We will pay all the costs, including salaries and for staying in Israel for a month."

Mr Krasicki also persuaded the Polish airline Lot to supply half-price tickets. But the exercise would still cost him $7,000 per man, a price he is happy to pay.

He added: "My mother was born in Argentina to a Jewish family, so I have Jewish roots, and Israel is very close to my heart.

"No person should sit still while such brutal attacks against innocent people take place."
