Poland’s embassy in Israel was daubed with swastikas on Monday in protest at Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s comments that the Holocaust involved "Jewish perpetrators".
Thesymbols were painted onto the consulate’s gates in Tel Aviv along with other profanities and the word "murder".
Mr Morawiecki made the remark after being quizzed by an Israeli journalist about his country’s new law criminalising any suggestion that the Polish state was involved in the Holocaust.
Mr Morawiecki claimed: "Of course it’s not going to be punishable, not going to be seen as criminal, to say that there were Polish perpetrators, as there were Jewish perpetrators, as there were Russian perpetrators, as there were Ukrainian, not only German perpetrators."
