Former Israeli president Shimon Peres was back in hospital on Sunday night complaining of chest pains, just a week after suffering a mild heart attack.
Doctors treating Mr Peres said on Monday morning that Mr Peres, 92, was “doing great” and reported that he had suffered a mild cardiac arrhythmia.
Although it is not clear when he will be discharged, Mr Peres’s heart rate has returned to normal.
Mr Peres was hospitalised for five days on 14 January after experiencing chest pains and undergoing an operation - a cardiac catheterisation - after doctors discovered a narrowed artery in his heart.
