Palestinian sentenced to jail for “crimes against the security" of Israel

articlemain

A Palestinian engineer has been sentenced to 21 years in jail for helping Hamas improve the rockets the terror group fires at Israel.

Dirar Abu Sisi was convicted by an Israeli court in Beersheva of several “crimes against the security of the state”, according to an official.

The court stated that he helped improve the range of the home-made Kassam rockets that Hamas have constantly fired at Israeli civilians over the years. These rockets are said to be able to travel between 10 and 20 km.

Israeli forces caught Abu Sisi in the Ukraine in February 2011.
