A young Orthodox Jewish father was murdered in a roadside terrorist ambush in the West Bank yesterday. Yeshiva student Yehuda Dimentman, 25, was gunned down in the attack in which more than 10 bullets were fired at his car. Hundreds of mourners attended the funeral for the father-of-one this morning.
Rabbi Elishama Cohen said: "I grieve over you, my son, Yehuda, our son Yehuda, our soldier without uniform. A soldier of Torah, of devotion to the land of Israel."Two other passengers survived with only light injuries from glass fragments. The terrorists fled the scene near Homesh close to the Shavei Shomron settlement after the attack.
Three infantry battalions, special forces and intelligence collection units descended on the area in the aftermath of the attack. Several suspects were taken into custody overnight.IDF Brig. Gen. Avi Bluth said: “We are grabbing any threads there are to pull.” A friend of Mr Dimentman, Aviah Entman had been in the car. He said: “He was a really good guy. He was a very sweet person and was welcoming to everyone who wanted to speak with him. We got to talk a lot.“It’s hard for me to believe he’s no longer with us. Just in our last conversation today he came to me all happy and said, ‘Today I won something.’“I asked him what happened and he told me his wife had asked him to take care of his child for a while.
