A left wing coalition would lead to a Palestinian state ‘run by Iran’  warned Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu this weekend, vowing that this would never happen if he were in charge.

“The price of a left-wing coalition with the Muslim Brotherhood has been exposed once again,” Netanyahu tweeted in Hebrew, ahead of the Israeli election on October 27.

He was referring to an address delivered by the United Arab List (Ra’am) Party leader Mansour Abbas on Saturday evening in which he called on Israel to recognise a Palestinian state, which was already “a reality.”

“All of the world will acknowledge it – after the United States and Israel fulfil their duty and recognise it [too],” he continued at his party’s convention in the city of Tayibe.
