Jerusalem is setting up its own version of London’s Speaker’s Corner, the city council has announced.

It will be established next year in Sacher Park, which commemorates the late British Zionist Harry Sacher.

“Establishing a Speaker’s Corner based on the Hyde Park model will create a venue where residents and visitors can peacefully debate culture, art, philosophy, current events or any other topic,” said a council representative.
