Israelis have revealed themselves to have similar reading habits to the rest of the world.
The bestselling fiction trilogy "Fifty Shades" was printed in Hebrew for the first time this week, and within 24 hours all of the copies from the first print run had sold out.
In total, 50,000 copies of the first in EL James' series, "Fifty Shades of Grey" were snapped up between Sunday and Monday. Last month it went on sale in a digital format.
The Israeli publisher, Yediot Sfarim, has already ordered a second print run.
The trilogy, which has sold more than 40 million copies worldwide and spawned a host of copycat books, is available in 37 different countries.
