(JNS) A new study of global attitudes shows that Israel is the country with the second-highest positive opinion of the United States, with only Poland ranked higher.
The report from the Pew Research Center reveals that among Israelis, 87% hold a favorable view of the United States, while 12% have a negative opinion.
This compares to the survey’s high in Poland of 93 per cent, the low in Hungary of 44 per cent and the median of 59 per cent overall across the 23 surveyed countries.
Brits have a marginally lower view of their American cousins, with a net positive score of 21 per cent.
Israelis also view US President Biden favourably, with over two-thirds of Israelis surveyed having a positive view of Joe Biden's leadership 'in world affairs.' This is an increase of nearly 10 per cent on the 2022 survey.
Over the last 20 years, only Donald Trump and George W Bush have scored higher than Biden among citizens of Israel.
The Pew polling was conducted by speaking to 27,285 adults across the world between February and May of this year.
