Today saw the largest ever Tel Aviv Gay Pride parade, with over 200,000 people from Israel and abroad.
Thousands of people filled the streets and partied on the beaches as music, shows, speeches and floats to kick off the beginning of European Pride season.
This year’s Tel Aviv Pride Ambassadors were TV’s Alan Cumming, from The Good Wife, and Orange is the New Black’s Lea DeLaria.
Alan Cumming said: "I'm so glad that I've waited to visit Israel until now, as coming to Tel Aviv as a very proud Pride Ambassador is the best way I can imagine. I'm so honoured to be so honored, and had a great time partying!"

Lea DeLaria said also she was “honoured” to be part of the event: “I couldn’t be excited to be a Pride Ambassador for Tel Aviv Pride. Jewish girls are hot!”
The main theme of the day was “Women for a Change", highlighting the role of women in the LGBTQ community.
The Tel Aviv Pride Parade is the only one in the world that is fully sponsored by the local governing body, the Mayor of Tel Aviv, Ron Huldai said as he opened the parade: “We will keep marching these streets of Tel Aviv with the hope that the pluralism, tolerance and liberalism of this city will spread to the country, the Middle East and the world".
