Israel has announced the successful recovery of four hostages from Hamas captivity in Gaza.
In a joint statement from the IDF, Israel security agency and the Israel police, the authorities said that the four were recovered in a “complex special operation” in the central Gaza Strip.
The statement said: “This morning (Saturday), in a joint IDF, ISA and Israel Police (Yamam) complex special daytime operation in Nuseirat, four Israeli hostages were rescued. Noa Argamani (25), Almog Meir Jan (21), Andrey Kozlov (27), and Shlomi Ziv (40), were kidnapped by the Hamas terrorist organization from the 'Nova' music festival on October 7th.
“The hostages were rescued by the IDF, ISA and 'Yamam' forces from two separate locations in the heart of Nuseirat.
“They are in good medical condition and have been transferred to the 'Sheba' Tel-HaShomer Medical Center for further medical examinations.”
Earlier this year, the mother of Noa Argamani pleaded with world leaders to help bring home her daughter.
Liora Argamani’s renewed appeal to see her daughter came as her stage four cancer deteriorated: “I am asking you, President Joe Biden, I don’t have a lot of time left in this world. It may be my last wish. I’m really begging you. Please help me.”
Noa Argamani, 26, was kidnapped from Nova festival by Hamas on October 7. A video of her being abducted on a motorcycle yelling, “don’t kill me”, was widely shared on the day and was on the front page of the Daily Mail on 8 October.
Videos released this morning showed Argamani reunited with her father Yakov as well as other members of her family.
