Hamas has threatened to release a video showing the “last messages” of the six murdered hostages recorded sometime prior to their deaths last week.
The brief teaser shared by Hamas via Telegram on Monday showed each of the six hostages – Eden Yerushalmi, 24, Ori Danino, 25, Almog Sarusi, 27, Alexander Lobanov, 32, Carmel Gat, 40, and Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23 – introducing themselves to the camera before a line appears on the screen in Hebrew, English and Arabic: “Hours and we will show their last messages.”
It is unclear when the videos of the hostages were recorded, but it is estimated that they were killed on Thursday or Friday last week, after which their bodies were recovered by the IDF and returned to Israel for burial.

The propaganda video was shared around the time of the funerals for the six hostages, which took place on Sunday and Monday.
Hamas has released similar propaganda videos of the hostages over the course of their 11 months of captivity in what Israel has deemed a form of psychological warfare. In April, Hamas shared a video of Goldberg-Polin, proving that the American-Israeli was still alive 200 days after being kidnapped from the Nova festival on October 7.
On Monday, thousands showed up to attend Goldberg-Polin’s funeral in Jerusalem, where his father lamented: “We failed you. We all failed you.”
