The family of a hostage murdered by Hamas has given permission for a clip from a video of her shot by the terrorist group to be publicly shared.

Eden Yerushalmi, 24, who was working as a bartender at the Nova music festival on October 7 when she was abducted by the militant group, was one of six hostages whose bodies were discovered in a Gaza tunnel at the weekend.

After their killing, Hamas threatened to share a video, which showed each of the hostages introducing themselves to the camera before a line appears on the screen in Hebrew, English and Arabic: “Hours and we will show their last messages.”

The other five were Ori Danino, 25, Almog Sarusi, 27, Alexander Lobanov, 32, Carmel Gat, 40, and Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23.

It is unclear when the videos of the hostages were recorded, but it is thought that they were killed on Thursday or Friday last week, after which their bodies were recovered by the IDF and returned to Israel for burial.

Hamas subsequently released a two-minute clip on the social media platform Telegram that included Ms Yerushalmi saying she missed her family.

Her family called the footage a "shocking psychological terror video".

They gave permission for a 12-second extract of the video to be used, and said: "Our Eden, we love you too and we miss you like crazy. You are forever in our hearts."

The Hamas propaganda video was shared around the time of the funerals for the six hostages, which took place on Sunday and Monday.

Hamas has released similar propaganda videos of the hostages over the course of their 11 months of captivity in what Israel has deemed a form of psychological warfare.

In April, Hamas shared a video of Goldberg-Polin, proving that the American-Israeli was still alive 200 days after being kidnapped from the Nova festival on October 7.

On Monday, thousands showed up to attend his funeral in Jerusalem, where his father lamented: “We failed you. We all failed you.”
