Photos released of a Palestinian boy, that Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas claimed was executed by Israeli security forces, show him recovering in an Israeli hospital.
A Palestinian boy who Mahmoud Abbas said had been “executed” by Israeli security forces has been photographed recovering in an Israeli hospital.
Ahmed Mansara, 13, attacked an Israeli teenager during a stabbing attack on Monday .
On Wednesday, Palestinian Authority president Abbas claimed Mansara had been “executed” by Israeli police responding to his terror attack.
But the boy was pictured sitting up in bed at Jerusalem’s Hadassah University Hospital this morning. He was said to be recovering from light-to-moderate injuries received during his arrest.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s office released the photos to the media, including the Arab press.
Mansara his relative, 17-year-old Mohammed Mansara, attacked two Israelis in the Pisgat Zeev neighbourhood of Jerusalem, critically wounding a 13-year-old boy who was riding a bike, and also injuring a man his 20s.
He was hit by a car and critically injured when passers-by chased the two attackers. The second assailant was shot to death by police when he ran towards them refusing to drop his knife.
