(JKS) Travelers can now book direct flights from Florida to Israel, after El Al announced they'd be opening a new route next Passover.
From April 15 next year, there will be two weekly flights from Fort Lauderdale to Ben-Gurion International Airport and two from Tel Aviv to Fort Lauderdale.
“This is another milestone in El Al’s continued growth in Florida,” said Marc Cavaliere, the Israeli airline’s senior vice president for the Americas.
Direct flights next April are scheduled to depart Florida on Monday afternoon and at 11:55 pm on Saturdays and leave Tel Aviv at midnight on Mondays and Fridays.
There will also be seasonal flights during this year’s High Holidays.
The Israeli flag carrier also operates direct flights from Miami, the only airline to do so after American Airlines announced it was cutting that route earlier this year.
