A convoy of approximately 220 cyclists rode through Israel’s diverse landscape last week to raise over $1 million for a veteran’s charity.

Beit Halochem’s 15th annual Courage in Motion (CIM) saw 100 cyclists from Canada, the UK, and the US ride alongside 120 disabled Israeli veterans and victims of terror to cover between 50 and 135 kilometres a day.

Taking place between October 23 – 27, the cyclists, who were joined by the Israel-Premier Tech national cycling team, rode through the Negev desert’s rugged formations, the hills of Jerusalem, the Mitzpe Ramon Crater, and alongside the Dead Sea.

The amount raised, currently totalling over $1.2 million, was achieved through the the riders’ registration fees, sponsorships and the generosity of Beit Halochem supporters, with fundraising remaining open until December 31.
