A British-Jewish singer has said that he left London and made aliyah due to antisemitic incidents he experienced in the UK.
Josh Brennan, who moved to Israel earlier this year, was starring on Israeli talent show 'The Next Star' when he was asked by the judges why he moved to Israel.

Explaining the reasons for his move, Brennan said: 'I just came here [Israel] because I had a bit of a nasty experience in London.
"I had some bad antisemitism happened to me in my hometown... someone walked past me while I was wearing a Magen David necklace. Someone shoved me, spits at my feet and says to me, ‘you and your family belong in the chambers.’”

The judges, who were moved by Brennan's story welcomed the singer to Israel, telling him "now you're at home."
Later in the episode, Brennan sang for the panel of judges and an in-studio audience, surpassing the 70% approval needed to progress, winning a whopping 87% approval.
Singing a song by Israeli popstar Eliad, Brennan won the support of the Israeli panel which included stars Ninet Tayeb and Ran Danker.
The Next Star or 'Kochav Haba' is a continuation of the popular Israeli reality show Kochav HaNolad (A star is born) and until season 8 in 2021 was responsible for choosing Israel's entry into the Eurovision song contest.
Previous winners of the show include Eurovision winner Netta and 2015 contestant Nadav Guedj, who became the first Israeli entrant to Eurovision to sing entirely in English.
