Bar Refaeli didn't get a no-fly zone for her wedding

articlemain

Israeli model Bar Refaeli married her businessman fiancé Adi Ezra on Thursday in a celebration reportedly taking place at the Carmel Forest Hotel.

But the wedding has not been without drama. Last Friday, Israel’s Civil Aviation Authority declared the airspace above the ceremony a no-fly zone.

However, on Sunday, amid public outrage, Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz overturned the order, instructing authorities to keep the airspace open, saying: "The skies belong to the entire public, and exclusivity cannot be granted for commercial reasons for high-profile people".

On Tuesday, just before Yom Kippur, the CAA reinstated the order for the no-fly zone, saying that although the skies would not be completely closed, there would be limitations.

By the time the wedding finally took place on Thursday evening the bride and groom failed to get their way and the skies remained open.
