Bar Refaeli made a star appearance at Tel Aviv’s second fashion week of the year, created after a rift formed between organisers of Israel Fashion Week.

The Israeli supermodel walked for the fashion chain Fox in tight fitting blue denim jeans and a black tshirt with the slogan “Basic is beautiful”. Ms Refaeli posted a picture of herself walking on image sharing website Instagram.

Most of the designers have left the original fashion week, which was held last month and are showing at the new new Gindi Tel Aviv Fashion week, which began on Sunday. Newspaper Haaretz reported designers involved to include Miller Jewelry, Michal Negrin, Golbary, Onot, Gideon Oberson, Raziela Gershon, Yaniv Parsi, Golf, Yosef, Sasson Kedem, Naama Bezalel and Dorin Frankfurt.

One of Wednesday’s shows was by Fishndag, a label by Israeli designer Hagit Witman.

The original fashion week will now be used to showcase young designers.
