Israel's Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon caused a political and legal row after accepting the demands of West Bank settlers to stop Palestinian workers travelling on Israeli buses.
His decision came despite the IDF ruling that there was no security risk posed by the workers. The Defence Ministry said the Palestinians would not be prevented from travelling, but must report to crossings before catching buses into Israel.
Human rights groups argued that the result would be the same since the buses do not stop and pick up passengers at the crossings.
