Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge received a gift and message of congratulations from the president of Israel to mark the birth of the royal baby.
President Reuven Rivlin and his wife Nechama welcomed the birth of Princess Charlotte of Cambridge on Saturday morning, by sending the royal couple a baby girl summer dress and gold brooch with a heart and hamsa charm, which protects against the evil eye.
The pink dress, which was made in Israel, had ‘From Israel With Love’ inscribed onto the chest.
In a letter to the Queen, President and Mrs Rivlin wrote: "On behalf of ourselves and of the citizens of the state of Israel, please allow us to offer our congratulations and good wishes on the birth of Your Majesty's great-granddaughter, the new baby princess, to you and all the members of the Royal Family.
“We would also like, through your good offices, to convey a warm message of congratulations and good wishes to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their daughter, sister to Prince George and to wish them much joy, health and happiness.”
