In almost any shopping mall in Israel you will find the clothing store Pull and Bear - there are 22 outlets across the country.
In its UK flagship Oxford Street store, however, you won't find mention of an Israeli presence.
The Spanish chain, one of eight in the Inditex Group, the best known of which are Zara and Massimo Dutti, sells fashionable clothing for men and women at high street prices. It claims its mission is to "dress the world with a single product and speak a common language, as part of a global youth culture".
Customers at the London outlet are greeted by a large board advertising 34 of Pull and Bear's 50 global locations, from Spain, where it started, to places with just a few stores such as Kuwait, Lebanon, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
