The BBC aired its new documentary series Modern Times - Welcome to Mayfair on Sunday, exploring the weird and wonderful world of London's exclusive area. Among the on-screen residents were a healthy helping of Jewish characters - including one man who apologised to his rabbi for eating bacon.

Photographer Gemma Levine, who once told the JC she credits "chutzpah" for getting what she wants, had the best line.
