An Ofsted inspector turned up unannounced at a Jewish primary school in London last week - on the afternoon of the eve of Rosh Hashanah.
The independent Nancy Reuben Primary School, a Sephardi school in Hendon, was the latest school to receive a snap visit from the education watchdog.
But the inspection was postponed after the school pointed out the difficulty over the timing.
A school said: "They apologised and realised it was an error of judgment."
