Israel has chosen pop singer Noa Kirel to compete in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The 21-year-old has had several hit singles in Israel, having debuted with ‘Medabrim’ on YouTube at the age of 13, to great success.

A screen star too, she starred alongside actor Omer Dror in Israeli teen movie, ‘Nearly Famous’, in 2017. Ms Kirel represented Israel at the MTV Europe Music Awards that year and, in 2018, starred in her own television series, ‘Kfula’.

Her success led to a contract with renowned American label, Atlantic Records, in 2020, with whom she released the singles, ‘Please Don’t Suck’, ‘Bad Little Thing’ and ‘Thought About That’.
