Those days of begging your children to eat their veggies are long gone, according to Annabel Karmel. The celebrity chef has found that children are now telling their parents off for dishing up unhealthy meals , as a result of better food education in schools. Ms Karmel also told the JC that keeping kosher is no excuse to eat badly, citing chicken soup, brisket, boiled gefilte fish and Israeli salad as healthy options. Unfortunately, she did have a word of warning against much-loved Jewish classics, advising us “to limit certain traditional foods like potato latkes, kneidlach, bourekas, matzah brei and lokshen pudding”.
